We met Dan and Ashley a year ago while we shooting Nick and Leslie’s wedding in Sonoma. Dan and Ashley are big giants fans so you may see some orange and black mixed into their day of elegance. Motion, Emotion and something special make a great image and Alice and Alston made every image easy.

Their wedding in the Calistoga Hills was hands down the most fun wedding of 2011. They chose to surround themselves with a very close group of friends and those tight bonds ensured that no moment went without laughter, joy and love. You might notice going through the images that they were mostly looking at each other, its because they were, the whole day, just soaking each other in.

When Adam and Marjorie are together, there’s always a lot of gigges, smiles, and sports . They have a pull about them that just makes you want to be around them and soak up their energy and love of life.

Marjorie and Adam live in Utah, and decided to bring us with them to their rustic wedding at Marquardt Ranch in the Hill Country of Texas. Adam played football while Marjorie played softball for the Colorado School of Mines and were surrounded at the wedding by a mix of former teammates and family.

Rockwood Women’s Club and Mission Wedding

It’s almost year end and time to go back and count what I have been grateful for in 2011. I have had the opportunity to shoot so many great couples/ new friends its been way beyond my initial goals for the last 11 months. In 2011 Zack and Michal Anna’s wedding was one of my favorite weddings to reflect on.

They chose to get married in Santa Barbara because it was where Michal Anna’s family was from and close to her heart. The venue fit everything they were looking for was the Rockwood Womens Club (with its incredible Spanish architecture) which is up the street from the Santa Barbara Mission. The decor and details were done by the couple, together. I know that their marriage will be a long one purely by the way they looked at each other when they thought no one else is looking. Thank you again for letting me be apart of your day.

Special bonus to this wedding were the three other couples at this wedding that we have shot! Always good to see them!

Wedding at Sacramento Sheraton

It was great to see such a fun couple be surrounded by the people they love on their wedding day. Watching Sophia and Brent interact with each other was like watching 2 halves find each other. They were completeing each other sentences and had a ESP like ability to know what the other one needed at any given time. If I had met them in any other capacity I would have said they were high school sweethearts. Brent and Sophia incorporated some aspects of a traditional Chinese marriage into their day, which is always fun to be apart of. They both went to McGeorge Law and were fortunate to have their closets friends and professors their to support them. Thanks again for letting me be there and to be apart of your journey.

Wedding at Sonoma Estate / Glen Ellen

I think science is close to proving that people from the Midwest/ Iowa are indeed the nicest people on the planet. Scott, Elisa and their families made me feel so welcome and like family. Scott and Elisa were married at Estate restaurant in Sonoma with their closestfriends and family.After their morning ceremony we then had time to head up to Glen Ellen to Benzinger winery for some fun couples portraits, I just loved the way they interacted the whole day.

When I firs met Elisa and Scott we found out that we were actually neighbors 2 doors down at one point and currently live only a stones throw away now. It is a small world. They are having a blast right now on their honeymoon at an undisclosed location!

Wedding at Relais du Soleil

Fall weddings are always the best. Kate and Marks wedding kept the tradition alive at Relais du Soleil in Glen Ellen CA. They planned the whole wedding themselves and I think it went beyond their expectations. Mark made his own beer for the wedding (super good) and they had Rosso Pizzeria in Petaluma cater the event. The guys got ready at Jack London Lodge saloon while the girls put the finishing touches on the center pieces. The whole venue, Relias du Soliel, was an awesome run by a super friendly inn keeper named Tim who makes his own wine on site!

I smiled the whole time I edited this wedding. Taylors, those were hands down the most memorable vows I have heard. Thank you guys so much for allowing me to tell your story, you guys are going to have an incredible life together.

I admit I am a softy when it comes to weddings. If you are a groom and you have eye perspiration, I will most likey perspire with you. To keep my vision clear I have to bite my tongue to hold back the ~~tears~~ perspiration. I left Danielle and Matt’s wedding with a sore tongue.

Novato Horsemen Club Wedding

Josh and Gina got married on a rare cool afternoon at the Novato Horsemen club in their home town of Novato. They were high school friends and ended up finding each other as they both worked for the same Fire Dept. GIna and Josh got married in their home town so we were able to shoot at a few of their hangout spots where they spent time growing up. We went to a nearby dock where they would fish during the summer and a hill that over looked the city. Gina and Josh put their sole into this wedding and each other, it shows.
